Experts in printed electronics gather at LOPEC

LOPEC is the leading event for printed electronics. As a combination of trade fair and conference, it offers a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge and innovations in the industry. From February 25 to 27, 2025, Munich will be the most important meeting place for experts in printed electronics.

FLEXOO’s innovations at LOPEC

Safety and performance are the central technical challenges in battery technology. FLEXOO addresses these challenges with innovative solutions that provide real-time data on pressure and temperature at the cell level, measuring directly inside the battery by means of ultra-thin sensors. The four major risks – overcharging, overheating, uneven charging, and lack of lifespan control – can be eliminated with the support of FLEXOO’s monitoring solutions.

The unobtrusive integration of electronics and sensors also enables exciting applications in the textile industry. Continuing individualization, demographic change and digital transformation are shaping developments in this sector. Wearables, i.e. digital technology that is worn on the body, can function as a washable and ironable human-machine interface, for example. Printed electronics can play a key role here thanks to their small size and weight as well as variety of functions.

1. Embedded battery monitoring in batteries of series products

Real-time measurement of pressure and temperature at the cell level through a very compact and easily integrable monitoring system that digitizes the data and wirelessly transmits it to a central or decentralized battery control system.
Permanently installed in the battery modules of electric vehicles or stationary battery storage systems (BESS), these precise data allow for timely corrective actions from calibration to targeted replacement of individual defective cells.

2. Monitoring at battery test stands with BaMoS

BaMoS measures and visualizes the vital parameters of a battery at the cell level in real-time.
The use of BaMoS in battery test stands accelerates battery development in companies and research institutions and proves its advantages as a highly precise measurement solution in production environments, such as end-of-line testing.

3. Textile integration of printed sensors

FLEXOO collaborates with the Swiss specialist for functional textiles, FRTI.
High-performance printed sensors are seamlessly integrated into textiles using conductive embroidery (e-broidery) for example for reliable pressure measurement.
This hybrid solution combines the flexibility, lightness, and robustness of textiles with the precision and scalability of printed sensors.
