FLEXOO named finalist for Baden-Württemberg Innovation Award 2026

Physical AI sensor and data platform recognized among the state's leading innovations

FLEXOO has been selected as a finalist for the Baden-Württemberg Innovation Award 2026, one of Germany’s most prestigious awards for technological innovation. The nomination recognizes FLEXOO’s Physical AI sensor and data platform, which enables continuous access to physical states such as pressure, force, temperature and mechanical load directly where they occur in real industrial systems.

While today’s artificial intelligence can read, see and hear, many industrial processes are shaped by information that remains inaccessible to conventional AI systems. Physical states often determine safety, quality and performance, yet remain invisible or are only indirectly captured.

Making physical states accessible for AI

FLEXOO addresses this challenge with a tactile-first approach to Physical AI. Ultrathin, flexibly integrable sensors continuously capture physical states directly at contact and interaction points within industrial systems.

Combined with data processing and AI, this creates a new foundation for intelligent industrial applications. Physical states become accessible and measurable where they actually occur: inside batteries, at robotic grippers and across industrial systems.

The technology is designed for scalable industrial deployment through roll-to-roll printing and supports applications in robotics, industrial manufacturing, battery systems and automotive.

Recognition for tactile-first Physical AI

Being selected as a finalist recognizes FLEXOO’s contribution to making physical states accessible for AI and advancing the next generation of intelligent industrial systems.

The award ceremony will take place on November 18 in Stuttgart, where the final ranking among the finalists will be announced.
